Shane Stem

Shane Stem founded Transform U in 2014 with the vision of offering affordable training for youth of all skill levels, while still giving back to the community.
Coach Shane was a standout athlete in high school playing Soccer and Basketball, racking up numerous all-state and all-region awards. He went on to play both sports in college. He initially attended Bryan College (NAIA 2) before transferring to Lancaster Bible College (NCAA 3), where we was a member of the first Mens' Basketball team to ever win the NCCAA East Region and move on the the NCCAA National Tournament. 
Currently, Coach Shane is currently the head girls' basketball coach at Gerstell Academy which competes in the highly competitive IAAM B Conference. Before Gerstell, Coach Shane spent six years at Mt. Airy Christian Academy building the girls' program there into a championship contender every season. During his time as the Varsity Assistant MACA won a NACA Div 3 National Title in 2012. Then in 2013-14, Coach Shane was given the Head Coach position. In his 4 years as the Head Coach, He took MACA to their first ever NCSAA Division 1 National Tournament game win (2014). Under his guidance, seven players earned NCSAA Super Region Awards and five players went on to play at the collegiate level. Coach Shane coached four 1,000 point scorers at MACA history - Webster '12, Bowen '14, and Fleming '17, and Kyrstin Bowen '19. During his last three seasons at MACA, they finished each year ranked in the top 20 in the NCSAA National Rankings.

Coach Shane earned his bachelors degree from LBC in 2008. He also carries an American Sport Educators Program Basketball Certification and is a USA Basketball Gold Certified Basketball Coach.
